YESAA is a non governmental organization focused on the encouraging Youths to Agribusiness by various activities which includes, Master class trainings, Mentor Mentee Pairing, Webinars/Seminars, Rural extensions Workshops, Trade promotion / Networking Summits, Startup Expos, Farm Tours. The idea is to attract, motivate, support and coach the youths on the opportunities available across sectoral value chains with a view to having them start their own agribusiness as readily as possible, instead of seeking for paid employment endlessly. The attraction and sustained participation of youths in Agribusiness will impact food security, jobs, rural urban migration, insecurity / youth restiveness, rural development and poverty alleviation. We are a more than 10,000 youth-man strong organization and still growing, with spread across the geopolitical zones. We have regional Coordinators who in turn supervise State Officers for the benefit of deeper grass root reach and connectivity with farmers in the rural areas. Our activities are tailored to practicable agribusiness entrepreneurship as opposed to the acquisition of mere academic agricultural knowledge. Our instructors/ coaches are owners of successful agribusiness concerns who would as frequently as possible offer internships to the Youths.
Our advisory board of Trustees members are Dr Tony Bello, Alhaji Sani Dangote (late ) Chief Emmanuel Ijewere (late), Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa (Chairman), Mrs J Smart Popoola, Ugo Nwabuisi, Don Ter Ode, Bar. Bilma Baba.
We have cordianting Offices across Nigeria and particularly in the major cities of Lagos, Ibadan, Kaduna, Enugu, Umuahia, Port Harcourt and Makurdi.
YESAA was induced by Dr Akinwumi Adesina at Agrikexpo who mooted the idea of attracting youths to agribusiness given the aging population of farmers and gaping opportunities in the sector. According to him there is a need for multi initiatives towards portraying agriculture as proper business not just a developmental project and holding out agribusiness as a profitable and noble vocation. Subsequently YESAA was started and formally launched by Chief Audu Ogbeh erstwhile Minister of Agriculture & Rural Development during the next edition of AGRIKEXPO & NABG Conferences.
Our focus remains the involvement of youths in the agribusiness dialogue, for a sustained focus on the food security agenda of the nation. We commend the various initiatives geared at inviting youths to agribusiness including the recently launched AGRI YOUTH CLUB by Her Excellency / First Lady Sen Oluremi Tinubu( GCON). We also believe in the Economic Development Mantra of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ( GCFR)under the RENEWED HOPE AGENDA , especially the engagement of young people in agriculture/agribusiness as visionarily expressed during the political campaigns. We seek the support of well meaning Organizations, and individuals on YESAA and are open to partnerships.
